Giving Thanks to My Resources, Artists, Mentors, and Masters

I personally believe that it is important to acknowledge those that have helped to get me where I am today.  First off, I would like to thank Linda Goodman for her book that I began using along with childhood friends, Angie & Carmie Rosetti…It all started with “Sun Signs”, in 1968.

1981 was a very pivotal year for me when my friend Thom Cooper gave me my very first deck of Tarot cards.  I believe that at that time it was the Morgan-Greer deck; or was it the Rider-Waite deck?  I would have to look in my notes to be exactly sure.  Along with my best friend at the time, Laurie May Reid, who gave me inspiration and encouragement as she became my very first seeker of knowledge.  And I would also like to thank my two wonderful children who allowed their mother to begin her lifetime of studies by allowing me to practice my readings on them.  It was not always easy, but they truly believed even at the ripe old ages of six and four that I was onto something amazing.  I love you both dearly, and I want you to know that even though we had to go through some rough times, I would like to think that where you both are today; that it was worth the sacrifices that had to be made.

At that time, the Esoteric Arts was quite limited and most books and tools that I was using had to be purchased through mail-ordering.  I would get catalogs and it was like Christmas Day when I was able to place an order and wait patiently for the coveted arrival of new materials.  I would also let my children check out the catalogs, and there they found materials that they were interested in as well.

On August of 1988, I was blessed by receiving my very first Aquarian deck of Tarot cards, and the artwork was vivid and there were no other cards out there that could even compare to the intricate artwork.  So, I would like to give a special thanks to, David Palladini, for creating those Aquarian cards.  They are the only ones I presently use for a reading, considering that my astrological sign is Aquarius.

Along with that deck of cards, I had also received a book called, “Psychic Tarot” written by, Craig Junjulas.  There was enough information in that book that kept me quite busy for several years.  I would like to share something he wrote that resonates in my heart and soul.

“To search for truth is to unveil knowledge of self.

To know is to understand the task that lies ahead.

                                 To never know~~~is infinite agony”

These books along with many others may be purchased through Amazon.com, Facade.com, and Tarot.com.  Facade.com and Tarot.com have many interesting areas for you to begin or continue on with your journey of the Esoteric Arts.

I also need to thank my friend Steve from the Chicago area for allowing me to bounce off some of my ideas and aspirations.  He would be busy with his dealings in baseball cards, and I would be making up a daily meditative Tarot card for AOL back in 1999.  He always gave me lots of encouragement, and was my critic when needed.  When he did critique my works he would leave most of what I was trying to say up to me.  On rare occasion he would have to get a bit stern, but that is what a good teacher/master does for the student.  Our conversations did not just cover Tarot, because at that time, I had discovered that I also enjoyed writing Erotica.  WEll, Steve was offered to critique that as well, and guess what?  He never had anything negative to say about all that…lol.  Someday, I hope to actually publish the Erotica.  In fact, my bestie, Tabitha says that there is one in particular that she is quite sure is patented already.  It did make the rounds over the years.

I will close with this…..Tarot is a journey, and I don’t believe that a destination will ever be forthcoming.

I have plans for my next blogging experience to deal with the Money Mystique.  I am sure that it should prove to be most interesting.

Peace, Love, Unity, and Respectfully yours,

Carmela Sposito-Robison
